The singer's body is the instrument, each voice has its own unique characteristics that must be developed and utilized accordingly. I work with each student individually, nurturing their distinct vocal qualities with patience and care.

Over three decades of professional performance have profoundly shaped how I teach. Having sung in over 50 productions with LA Opera and over 24 seasons with the LA Philharmonic and LA Master Chorale, I understand what it means to project a voice across a full orchestra in major concert halls while maintaining vocal health and musicality. I've collaborated with renowned conductors and performed everything from beloved operatic masterworks to contemporary premieres—experiences that allow me to guide students with practical insights gained from a life in performance.

I support singers in planning and achieving performances and projects that are appropriate to their individual level and purpose, whether preparing for auditions, recitals, or personal enrichment. Specialized teaching is also available for teenagers navigating the vocal changes and transitions of adolescence.
